About Huw
Twenty years of helping people find their voice in English.
Originally from Australia, I now live and teach in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Beyond my passion for education, I enjoy travelling, staying active through sports, listening to music, and connecting with people from different cultures and backgrounds from across the world. These experiences help me bring a global perspective to my lessons and create engaging, meaningful conversations with my students.
With experience spanning early childhood education, classroom teaching, alternative education teaching and individualized literacy intervention, I am passionate about helping students achieve their academic goals.
One of my greatest strengths as an educator is my ability to connect with students. Whether you're interested in music, fashion, books, sports, food, travel, or your career, I use your interests as a bridge to learning. These meaningful connections create a comfortable and engaging environment where students can develop confidence, improve their English skills, and reach their full potential.
